Custom Building Drawings
The design process for building drawings begins with an initial design consultation where we discuss the client’s ideas, needs and wants for the new project. By combining all of these traits we will then design a floor plan(s) that meet all of your requirements. After discussing, altering, and perfecting this plan we move forward with implementing the next steps in the design process with creating exterior elevations and a foundation (basement) plan, if applicable, for the client’s approval. During this time we will be happy to guide the client along the design path, providing any knowledge and experience when needed.
Once all of the design elements are to your 100% satisfaction, we complete the final construction drawings for the client’s final review/approval. Upon the completed review, final checks are made and the necessary paperwork is printed. We arrange a time to meet with the client to deliver the final design package for them to move with the next step of the project… building!
3D Renderings
Want to view your design prior to construction? Visualize the outside finishes before they are applied? A 3D rendering of your design is the perfect solution! These 3-dimensional computer generated drawings allow the client to see aspects of the design prior to choosing the first finish material. Many clients are not visual and cannot easily comprehend the 2-dimensional, black and white blueprints that are created for the building drawings required for the construction. The renderings bring these dull drawings to life! This also aids with keeping the contractor, sub trades, suppliers, etc. on the same page with the overall concept for the project.
A “walk through” of these spaces can also be created to give the client the sense of spatial awareness to determine if there needs to be any adjustments made to the drawings prior to the final construction documents being completed. This visualization tool gives the client a full sense of understanding the layout of the new project. With either option, the finished product is then emailed to the client to use as they see fit. This is a wonderful tool for those who require a visual assistance with any design. It is a fun process as well!
Interior Design
The finish selections process for any project can be demanding for many but Paling Design Studio can help! After the flow of the project and spaces are determined and the building plans are set the next phase is choosing every item to go into (and around!) that space. Windows, doors, exterior finishes, soffit/fascia, flooring, wall finishes, cabinetry, lighting, fixtures and appliances… just to name a few. It can become quite overwhelming and some clients prefer assistance with this phase of the project.
From assisting with a new paint colour to update a room to full finish selections for your new project. This service can be customized to suit each client’s needs and amount of involvement. The options are endless.
